Have you ever felt like you wanted to do something, but you can’t seem to move forward? For most of us, the answer is YES.
You have big dreams and goals for yourself, but you’re too afraid to take the leap and step outside of your comfort zone. I understand. After all, life is full of uncertainty, and it can seem easier to want to stay with whatever gives us a sense of security.
But if you don’t go outside of your comfort zone, you’ll remain playing small, and you’ll never grow into the best possible version of yourself that you can be. Your dreams will stay out of reach, and you’ll be forever bombarded with questions of what-ifs. We don’t want that.
But are my dreams really worth the risk?
Of course, they are! Allow me to convince you.
No matter the nature of your dreams and goals, as long as you believe and as long as you give it your best, anything is possible.
Take a moment and close your eyes. Envision your ideal future: what do you want to accomplish in life? Who do you want to be? Who are you?
Then, reflect on your present self. What do you need to do to get from point A to point B? Now, don’t be overwhelmed; remember, it is possible. We just need a plan to get you there.
Pursuing your dreams is a great adventure. You may not always know what you’ll encounter. You may have many detours. You may fail, perhaps many times. But you cannot deny the perks of the experience.
You will be presented with many new learning opportunities that you wouldn’t want to miss. You’ll learn more about yourself. You’ll meet new people, go to new places, and understand new things. You’ll see just how beautiful life can be.
Your dreams may just be your purpose, but the world is also counting on you to show it what you’ve got. It’s waiting for you to make the difference you’re meant to make.
Let go of your limiting beliefs. You are significant. You can do anything. You can contribute. The world needs you to be you, and this is a fact.
Fear of failure keeps most of us from making the impossible possible, but we need to understand that failure is just part of the journey. Failure is only feedback.
Failing doesn’t make you a failure. It’s just a sign to readjust, so go and keep on trying. You wouldn’t want to regret not giving it a go for the rest of your life.
Happiness is a choice, not a destination. You can choose it now, and it’s easier to do when you’re doing what naturally brings you joy – and what’s more joy-giving than living the life you’re meant to live while fulfilling the dreams you’re meant to fulfill?
So, stop doubting and start showing up for your dreams. They’re waiting for you. And you don’t need perfection – you just need growth.
